This full-time, benefitted position, reporting to the Director of Sales, will drive revenue and service growth in the Texas Territory by expanding our existing customer base through strategic account management, as well as prospect, qualify, and onboard new customers. This role operates remotely in the field and home office environment. Travel is expected up to 75% of the time.
We seek candidates with a proven track record of increasing market share in wholesale distribution and engineered systems sales channels. Ideal candidates will possess strong presentation, closing, and interpersonal skills, acting with integrity and professionalism. Essential Functions
- Maximize sales efforts by effectively & independently managing the territory.
- Create and maintain a territory sales plan to meet annual key performance indicators (KPIs) and other financial goals. Monitor performance versus goals at least monthly and proactively develop action plans as needed to achieve/exceed targets.
- Perform market analysis to determine customer needs and propose high-impact activities.
- Continually monitor the established customer base to identify opportunities for rationalization and areas (geographical, vertical) where additional support is required to support market needs for growth.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings/shows to promote products and services.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to customers, influences, and other stakeholders to drive the establishment of Valcom in both product preference and specifications,
- Oversee and manage the weekly, monthly, and annual core travel and entertainment budget.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of direct or related industry sales or technical experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the Audio, Networking, Communications, or Telephony industries.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. Occasionally non-standard work hours are required for meetings and other industry events.
- Able to understand and effectively communicate technical information to channel stakeholders including sales, management, installation, service, engineering staff, and local officials.
- Strong software skills in MS Office, Salesforce, and Potter-developed software products.
- Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation to travel for business needs.
