Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will connect technical solutions to customer needs within the Northwest territory, which includes Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. Work is done remotely in the field and home office environment. Travel is expected up to 50% of the time.
We are seeking candidates with proven experience in technical sales or engineering support roles who can effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of bridging the gap between technical expertise and customer needs, working closely with sales and engineering teams.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and offer tailored technical solutions.
- Provide product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective customers.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing technical support and consultation.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and product specifications.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and internal engineering teams to ensure customer needs are met.
- Analyze client requirements and develop technical solutions that are cost-effective and efficient.
- Support post-sale activities, including training and troubleshooting for customers.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, products, and technologies relevant to Valcom’s offerings.
- Contribute to new product development and solutions based on customer feedback and market trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- At least three years of experience in a related role
- Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation to travel for business needs.
- Able to understand and effectively communicate technical information to channel stakeholders including sales, management, installation, service, engineering staff, and local officials.
- RCDD certification preferred.
